Dr. Maria Galve Villa received a Ph.D. from the Center for Neuroplasticity and Pain at Aalborg University (Denmark) and a Master's in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy from University College Dublin. Maria has published several articles in prestigious journals and has been a speaker at national and international conferences. Her studies explored changes in pain and other perceptions (tingling, numbness, etc.) using digital health in patients with chronic musculoskeletal pain. Maria recently received a BioInnovate Fellowship from the University of Galway (Ireland).

Maria is originally from Spain but has spent her entire career in Ireland and Denmark, where she has worked in some of the best chronic pain management units. Maria lectures online on the module "Chronic pain management" at the University of Manresa (Barcelona) for Physiotherapy and Nursing students.
